Soil Sampling Technician – Seasonal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.

📋 Description

• Conduct soil sample collection accurately in accordance with established SOPs and quality control protocols.

• Gather sufficient sample volumes at specified GPS coordinates.

• Keep detailed records of field data and samples obtained.

• Organize the transportation of samples to the laboratory.

• Carry out preventative and daily maintenance on assigned equipment.

• Inform management about equipment service requirements.

• Foster positive working relationships with growers, clients, dealers, and other agribusiness stakeholders.

• Act as a point of contact between growers or clients and management when necessary.

• Ensure that collection services are performed within the expected laboratory turnaround times.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or GED is preferred.

• Capability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced setting.

• Demonstrated organizational and time management abilities.

• Attention to detail is essential.

• Basic proficiency in computer use.

• Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Flexibility in scheduling and willingness to work overtime as required by workflow and deadlines.

• A valid driver’s license is necessary.

• Ability to work in varying temperatures (40–90°F) and under both wet and dry conditions.

• Eagerness to grow and develop both personally and professionally.
