Software Testing Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Conduct visual, behavioral, and security QA assessments on web desktop, mobile, and native mobile applications.

• Employ a combination of custom test cases and available testing tools to support all testing layers from Unit to User Acceptance.

• Record findings as bug reports in Jira for the development team to address.

• Validate and document issues reported by end users as necessary.

• Oversee the lifecycle of reported issues within a scrum framework.

• Collaborate with the development team and other department leaders to resolve reported concerns.

• Develop test cases in Python for both manual and automated testing processes.

• Complete and review documentation for projects or any operational initiatives.

• Provide system performance monitoring and troubleshooting, including database optimization in MySQL.

• Stay updated on relevant technology as assigned.

• Perform other tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of professional experience in QA roles, with a minimum of 2 years specifically in software development.

• Possession of a Bachelor's degree or a higher post-graduate degree along with 3+ years of industry experience, or equivalent additional industry experience.

• Expertise in RESTful APIs and REST API testing.

• Familiarity with automated testing tools and methodologies.

• Experience with APIDog is advantageous.

• Knowledge of security testing methodologies.

• Familiarity with AI-driven review and remediation techniques.

• Experience in the cybersecurity industry is a plus.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, strong communication and teamwork skills, and a proactive approach to security.
