Software Tester – Fixed Term Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement both manual and automated test cases to assess software functionality.

• Identify, record, and manage defects within a test management or issue tracking platform (e.g., Jira).

• Conduct functional, regression, exploratory, and API testing to ensure the stability and reliability of the system.

• Collaborate with developers and product managers to clarify testing requirements.

• Execute API testing utilizing tools such as Postman, Swagger, etc.

• Guarantee comprehensive test coverage across various testing levels (integration, system).

• Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with customer testing teams and offer recommendations for software readiness.

• Operate in an Agile development setting with a familiarity of Agile ceremonies, actively participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

• Facilitate the adoption of test automation frameworks where applicable (e.g., identifying areas for automation).

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing, ideally within an Agile environment.

• Strong grasp of testing methodologies, including functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.

• Proficient with defect tracking tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps.

• Practical experience with API testing tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar.

• Automation experience is desirable, and familiarity with tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright is definitely a plus.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities with a keen attention to detail.

• A proactive approach to collaborating with adjacent departments (support, operations, professional services, etc.) to optimize processes and improve quality.

• Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment.

• Basic SQL knowledge for database validation and testing.

• ISTQB certification (Foundation Level or higher) is advantageous but not mandatory.
