Software Release Engineer – Junior

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Manage software versions and change control.

• Coordinate releases with Development, Testing, QA, and Operations teams.

• Administer Git repositories and branching strategies.

• Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, etc.).

• Automate build, integration, and deployment processes.

• Ensure that a version meets quality criteria prior to release.

• Provide support during deployments and resolve release incidents.

• Manage documentation and version traceability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Version control: Proficient in Git (branching, merging, tags) and platforms such as GitHub/GitLab.

• CI/CD: Basic knowledge of Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI.

• Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and change management (ITIL is a plus).

• Collaboration: Ability to coordinate with Development, QA, and Operations teams.

• Documentation: Skill in recording processes and versions (Markdown, Jira, Confluence).

• Problem-solving: Support in deployments and validation of quality criteria.

• Additional tools (plus): Basic knowledge of Docker, AWS/Azure, or monitoring (Grafana).

• Soft skills: Clear communication, attention to detail, and teamwork.

• Automation: Experience with Bash/Python scripts for builds and deployments.
