Software Metrics Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Conduct Function Point Analysis (APF/NESMA) counts and SNAP measurements for deliverables independently.

• Evaluate and compare measurements carried out by the client, identifying and resolving discrepancies that exceed 5%.

• Prepare technical challenges, including detailed calculations and supporting documentation, adhering to the contractual deadline of five business days.

• Maintain proper documentation, history, and traceability of all completed measurements.

• Assist in the calibration of productivity models using actual measurement data.

• Provide support to Planning and Management by offering capacity estimates, defining eligible items, and classifying deliverables.

• Engage in requirements analysis and categorize functionalities according to APF and SNAP standards.

• Enhance measurement, estimation, and productivity processes by leveraging Business Analysis expertise and agile methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid CFPS (Certified Function Point Specialist) and/or CSP (Certified SNAP Professional) certification.

• Practical experience with Function Point Analysis (APF).

• Familiarity with the NESMA methodology.

• Proven experience in conducting independent Function Point counts.

• Understanding and hands-on experience with SNAP for non-functional sizing.

• Capability to analyze and question measurements provided by external parties.

• Experience in identifying and justifying discrepancies in measurements.

• Proficiency in preparing substantiated technical challenges.

• Background in count documentation, supporting evidence, and maintaining traceability.

• Experience working as a Business Analyst.

• Knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, or other agile methodologies.

• Experience in gathering and analyzing requirements.

• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or comparable platforms.

• Background in software productivity metrics and estimation.

• Experience in software factory contracts, outsourcing, or environments utilizing Function Points for measurement and billing.
