Software Maintenance Engineer – OpenShift Virtualization

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Serve as the primary contact and advisor for customer inquiries regarding the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.

• Provide an outstanding customer experience through effective professional communication.

• Evaluate issues to pinpoint problem areas and convey necessary corrective measures.

• Proactively tackle and resolve critical issues.

• Collaborate with fellow support engineers and internal teams throughout the problem resolution process.

• Record diagnostic procedures and develop reusable solutions.

• Function as part of a team dedicated to addressing customer concerns and resolving their issues.

• Be prepared to undertake weekend shift responsibilities on a rotational basis.

• Guide and mentor junior team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Linux operation and administration.

• Demonstrated professional experience with networking technology, including server, switch, or appliance configuration.

• Proven experience in configuring and troubleshooting OpenShift or Kubernetes.

• Extensive technical knowledge in traditional Linux virtualization.

• Professional experience with container-related technologies such as Docker, Podman, LXC, CRI-O, and runc.

• Experience in managing technical issues that have been escalated.

• Familiarity with automation tools or scripting languages, including Ansible, Bash, or Python.

• Strong passion for problem-solving.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
