Software Installation Engineer – Southern US

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Execute prominent on-site and remote software installations and upgrades for all Varian Software products.

• Collaborate with both physical and virtual environments, operating systems, databases, and various software and networking technologies.

• Assess the scope of work for assigned tasks to guarantee the availability of all hardware and software components.

• Evaluate customer IT infrastructure and project plans to ensure compliance with documented installation requirements.

• Complete all necessary task documentation to adhere to Varian's Quality processes and procedures.

• Maintain customer system inventories utilizing Site Equipment Configuration documentation or its equivalent.

• Stay updated on Varian products and technologies through ongoing internal and external training and certification.

• Collaborate with project management, local service, and hardware installation teams to deliver World Class Customer Service.

• Record detailed accounts of installation and upgrade work performed into company information systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate Degree/Technical Degree or equivalent experience.

• 1-3 years of directly related and transferable experience.

• Proficient in Microsoft Server & Workstation environments.

• Knowledgeable in Networks & Network techniques.

• Functional understanding of Citrix and VMWare technologies.

• Customer-centric approach.

• Proficient in the English language (both spoken and written).

• Familiarity with business tools such as SharePoint and time reporting systems.
