Software Installation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Thailand.

📋 Description

• Execute prominently visible on-site and remote software installations and upgrades for all Varian software products.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot as necessary.

• Assess the scope of work for assigned tasks to ensure that all hardware and software components are available.

• Evaluate customer IT infrastructure and project plans to ensure compliance with documented installation requirements.

• Complete all required task documentation in accordance with Varian’s Quality processes and procedures.

• Manage customer system inventories utilizing Keystone or Site Equipment Configuration documentation or similar tools.

• Collaborate with project management, local service teams, and hardware installation, as well as remote software deployment teams, to ensure World Class Customer Service.

• Facilitate the training and mentoring of new Installation Representatives.

• Be prepared to travel 75-100% of the time across Thailand, ASEAN, and Korea as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• 3-5 years of experience in relevant fields, such as MedTech, or within a medical or hospital setting.

• Practical experience with Virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).

• Experience as a system administrator for Windows environments, including Windows Server (2012 - 2022), Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Server Roles.

• Strong understanding of fundamental networking concepts, including port forwarding, IP addressing, and firewall/routing principles.

• In-depth knowledge of network protocols and network troubleshooting.

• Familiarity with Citrix environments.

• Solid technical experience with system software and exceptional debugging capabilities.

• Highly organized with strong planning skills.

• Customer-oriented mindset.

• Proficient in the local language (Thai, Bahasa, or Filipino) and in English, both written and verbal.
