Software Engineering Team Lead – Backend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Greece.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of software engineers, promoting a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

• Oversee project timelines, priorities, and resources to guarantee timely and budget-compliant delivery of software solutions.

• Offer technical direction, expertise, and conduct code reviews to maintain software quality and compliance with best practices.

• Participate in architectural decisions and design of software systems, focusing on scalability, performance, and maintainability.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and QA, to ensure alignment on project objectives and requirements.

• Assist in solving complex problems and troubleshooting as necessary, providing guidance and expertise to the team.

• Continuously assess and enhance development processes, tools, and methodologies to improve team productivity.

• Mentor and develop team members, encouraging skill enhancement and career advancement.

• Maintain code quality, sustainability, and documentation by establishing and enforcing coding standards.

• Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing challenges and bottlenecks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a software engineer with a solid record of successful software development projects.

• Strong technical knowledge in one or more programming languages and technologies pertinent to the team's focus, such as .NET or equivalent, Microservices, and both Sync and Async communication.

• Experience in leadership and project management, with the capability to guide and inspire a team.

• Exceptional problem-solving and communication abilities.

• Familiarity with software development best practices, including Agile methodologies.

• Strong organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple projects at once.

• Understanding of software design patterns, architecture, and system scalability.

• Proficiency with version control systems and project management tools.
