Software Engineering Manager – Servicing Platform Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• You will lead and expand a team of engineers, collaborating closely with Product, Compliance/Legal, and Analytics while ensuring effective delivery through decisive technical judgment and operational rigor.

• You will acquire an in-depth understanding of the system architecture of the ETL pipelines and how they depend on upstream data sources.

• You will be responsible for key outcomes and metrics (accuracy, timeliness, completeness, and incident rates) and will spearhead multi-quarter cross-organizational initiatives that significantly enhance the quality and reliability of the pipeline.

• You will oversee and develop a team of engineers, working closely with Product, Compliance/Legal.

• You will ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of the systems managed by your team.

• You will collaborate with product managers to create and implement top-tier systems and processes for collections.

• You will partner with a varied array of engineering teams that develop solutions throughout the complete lifecycle of loan repayments at Affirm.

• You will cultivate relationships and engage with senior management within the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7+ years of demonstrated experience in a software engineering role with leadership duties, including 2+ years as an engineering manager.

• A passion for transforming consumer financial services for the better.

• Previous experience in developing and managing high-performing engineering teams.

• Proficiency in back-end system design.

• Experience in architecting, building, launching, and maintaining consumer-scale products.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across teams.

• Familiarity with the basic lifecycle of loans and credit reporting is advantageous.
