Software Engineering Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the design and development of product architecture across backend, frontend, and AI-driven services.

• Actively participate in the codebase as a hands-on developer.

• Develop and scale APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.

• Create solutions that effectively balance performance, reliability, maintainability, and speed of delivery.

• Collaborate intimately with Product, Design, Data, and Operations teams.

• Assist in defining engineering standards and best practices.

• Promote the integration of AI capabilities into products and internal tools.

• Aid in the design and execution of agent-based systems, automation workflows, and intelligent user experiences.

• Coach engineers and elevate the technical standards across the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• 9+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a technical leadership role.

• Extensive experience in building and scaling web applications in production settings.

• Strong backend development expertise alongside solid frontend development experience.

• Proficient in designing and managing microservice architectures.

• Deep understanding of distributed systems and asynchronous communication models.

• Skilled in designing APIs and integrating third-party services.

• Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS.

• Capability to balance architecture, scalability, reliability, and delivery speed.

• Strong sense of ownership and ability to influence technical decisions.

• Preferred: background in fintech or digital financial products.

• Practical experience in developing products that utilize LLMs, agents, automation, or AI workflows.

• Experience in incorporating AI capabilities into production applications.

• Knowledge of agent orchestration frameworks, tool calling, RAG architectures, or conversational systems.

• Understanding of evaluation, observability, and monitoring for AI-powered systems.

• Strong ownership mindset.

• Ability to balance technical excellence with business requirements.

• Comfortable in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

• Excellent communication skills in English (fluent).
