Software Engineering Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Produce high-quality, production-ready code under the guidance of the team.

• Implement assigned tasks and assist in addressing challenges with established solutions in the AI domain.

• Engage in the fundamental processes of the team, including planning, on-call duties, bug triage, and metrics evaluation.

• Take part in code reviews and ask questions to enhance understanding of the codebases and technologies pertinent to my role.

• Foster a positive sense of community within the team by participating in team-building activities and offsite events.

• Proactively communicate important information regarding my project, including challenging task-level trade-offs that affect the product, to my manager and team members, including product and business partners.

• Actively engage in virtual learning sessions focused on topics such as time management and career development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th-year undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Must possess prior co-op or internship experience.

• Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.

• Fundamental understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.

• Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies, especially in the area of artificial intelligence.

• Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal abilities.

• Capable of working effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Previous exposure to AI or machine learning concepts is advantageous but not mandatory.
