Software Engineer – XIL Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and develop integrated testing frameworks that facilitate the seamless transfer of test cases across Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), and simulation environments.

• Construct, set up, and manage physical HIL benches along with related hardware interfaces (such as CAN adapters) to replicate real-world vehicle scenarios.

• Embed automated HIL testing within the Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines, ensuring code stability and mitigating regressions before integration.

• Work in close collaboration with software engineering teams to comprehend their requirements, and identify and implement enhancements in our Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Infrastructure and Continuous Integration (CI) systems.

• Oversee and report on runtime performance, system health, and reliability metrics across all HIL testing platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), and simulation testing methodologies, especially for safety-critical systems.

• Expertise in scripting and test automation languages (such as Python, C++, and Bash) to create robust, scalable testing frameworks.

• Strong understanding of CI/CD best practices and principles, with direct experience in Buildkite considered an advantage.

• Practical experience in troubleshooting physical test benches, including the ability to read electrical schematics and utilize lab tools like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and PCAN adapters.

• Proficient in using infrastructure-as-code and environment management tools (notably Nix, or similar tools like Docker/Ansible) to guarantee reproducible test environments.
