Software Engineer – Video

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Create and deploy real-time services that meet high throughput and low latency standards.

• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to grasp customer requirements and provide straightforward, reliable, and scalable solutions.

• Work in partnership with team leads, architects, and cross-functional groups.

• Take on the challenge of enhancing a complex distributed platform.

• Address customer issues related to the Voice channel.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2-3+ years of practical experience in a large-scale, distributed applications setting using JVM-based technologies.

• Proficient in developing RESTful services, API design, and event-driven architectures (such as Kafka and SQS).

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, OpenStack, or Azure.

• Background in on-call rotations, incident response, and monitoring/alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Datadog, Grafana).

• Exceptional written communication skills.

• Proven capability to critically assess AI-generated code regarding correctness, security, performance, and maintainability.

• Strong foundational knowledge in Java.

• Demonstrated expertise in utilizing AI coding assistants (like Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar tools).

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.

• Strong fundamentals in Computer Science.
