Software Engineer, Python – Cloud Billing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Designing and developing billing and internal analytics systems using Python, with an emphasis on processing billing statistics, data analysis, and reporting.

• Crafting high-quality Python code that utilizes FastAPI, relational databases, RabbitMQ, Redis, and additional technologies to facilitate robust billing and analytics workflows.

• Creating scalable and efficient data pipelines capable of managing large volumes of data.

• Building tools and APIs to deliver real-time billing insights and analytics for various Gcore products.

• Overseeing, optimizing, and maintaining the performance and reliability of services.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate billing and analytics functionalities across all Gcore platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient Python development skills, including experience with asynchronous programming.

• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Knowledge of cloud providers like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or others.

• Strong analytical skills and the capacity to think creatively when addressing complex billing and analytics challenges.

• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

• A genuine enthusiasm for working with data and using it to inform business decisions and insights.

• Dedication to remaining informed about industry trends and advancements in billing systems and analytics technologies.

• Nice to Have: Experience with DevOps practices and tools, such as GitLab CI.

• Familiarity with financial or billing systems and their specific challenges.

• Background in data visualization tools and techniques for conveying analytics insights.
