Software Engineer, Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement robust AI-driven applications, emphasizing agentic and multi-modal AI systems.

• Create scalable, production-quality software solutions utilizing contemporary programming languages (Python preferred) and AI/ML frameworks.

• Oversee the complete development lifecycle: from concept and prototyping to deployment and monitoring in cloud environments (AWS preferred).

• Work collaboratively with AI researchers, scientists, software developers, and product managers to convert business requirements into technical solutions.

• Construct and refine data pipelines for training, evaluating, and deploying AI models.

• Employ best practices for code quality, testing, CI/CD, and DevOps within the GenAI team.

• Mentor and support junior engineers, promoting a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and ongoing learning.

• Keep abreast of advancements in AI, agentic systems, and cloud engineering, driving their integration within the team.

• Participate in strategic planning, technical roadmaps, and cross-functional initiatives that align with organizational objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 4+ years of experience in software engineering, boasting a strong track record in building and deploying AI/ML solutions.

• Profound expertise in Python.

• Interest or experience in agentic AI.

• Strong skills in developing and maintaining APIs in Python.

• Practical experience in deploying and operationalizing backend services in a Kubernetes environment.

• Hands-on experience with model serving in cloud settings.

• Solid understanding of cloud-based architectures and DevOps practices (experience with AWS and GitLab CI/CD preferred).

• Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

• Dedication to code quality, security, scalability, and performance.

• Enthusiasm for innovation and a desire to remain at the forefront of AI technology.
