This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.
• Create and enhance leaf-spine underlays, EVPN/VXLAN overlays, and tenant connectivity for multi-tenant AI infrastructure.
• Convert data-center fabric requirements and safety properties into well-defined APIs, data models, validation, and automation processes.
• Develop dependable control-plane software that aligns desired network states with observed outcomes.
• Design secure change workflows incorporating validation, dry runs, atomic updates, observability, and failure recovery mechanisms.
• Integrate with data-center switch operating systems and management APIs while ensuring vendor-neutral abstractions are maintained where applicable.
• Engage in on-call rotations to troubleshoot active data-center network incidents, restore services, and implement lasting improvements based on root cause analysis.
• Review designs and code, clarify networking trade-offs, and contribute to elevating the quality of network engineering across the organization.
• Create lab and production tests, leveraging operational insights to enhance software and architecture.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Ethernet switching, IP routing, BGP-based leaf-spine fabrics, EVPN/VXLAN, and VRF-based multitenancy.
• Strong decision-making skills regarding fabric underlay and overlay design, scalability, convergence, isolation, and failure modes.
• Experience in building or operating production network automation, focusing on desired state, idempotency, concurrency, observability, and recovery.
• Solid software engineering fundamentals in a general-purpose programming language.
• Familiarity with southbound network APIs and structured configuration formats, such as REST, gNMI/OpenConfig, or NETCONF.
• Practical experience with major data-center network operating systems, including Cumulus Linux, Arista EOS, SONiC, Junos, or NX-OS.
• Strong diagnostic capabilities using routing and EVPN state, packet captures, counters, telemetry, and logs.
