Network Engineer III – Network Deployment Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and manage expansive multi-vendor, multi-region hybrid cloud networks.

• Initiate and lead projects aimed at enhancing the quality and speed of network deployments through coding, testing, and validation.

• Collaborate with internal teams to embed automation into capacity deployment processes.

• Create scripts and tools to automate repetitive tasks and enhance network visibility.

• Apply best practices to ensure the reliability and effectiveness of the production network.

• Take part in 24x7 on-call rotations.

• Oversee initiatives to keep the data center network functioning at peak performance and to enhance the quality and speed of network deployments.

• Deploy and manage the lifecycle of data center network infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidate must be a U.S. citizen or a U.S. permanent resident.

• Over 7 years of experience in building and managing multi-vendor, multi-region production networks, with at least 4 years focused on network automation.

• Practical experience with Ansible, Terraform, and NETCONF/YANG or gNMI/OpenConfig.

• Proven ability to write and maintain production-quality code in Python or Go.

• Familiarity with Git-based workflows, code review processes, testing, and CI/CD methods.

• Experience working in FedRAMP or similar regulated environments.

• In-depth knowledge of routing and switching protocols, including IPv6, MP-BGP, OSPF, ISIS, EVPN, VxLAN, QoS, IPSEC, and MACsec.

• Hands-on experience in deploying and supporting public cloud connectivity on AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI technologies to improve decision-making, streamline workflows, enhance efficiency, and drive business results.

• Willingness to participate in 24x7 on-call rotations.

• Must periodically undergo and successfully pass additional background and fingerprint checks as required by government customers.

• Bonus: Experience with hyperscalers or large Cloud Service Providers.

• Bonus: Experience in deploying and maintaining whitebox switches and open-source network operating systems.
