This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana, +2 more states.
• Independently or collaboratively lead small to large network and security initiatives.
• Strategically plan, design, stage, install, validate, test, and troubleshoot data and security networks.
• Direct complex, large-scale Network and Security projects, which include data center fabric design and deployment.
• Develop comprehensive low-level designs that align with business objectives, customer budgets, and operational support capabilities.
• Conduct network discovery and assessments related to Network and Security.
• Present documentation and deliverables from engagements to clients.
• Work in collaboration with Sales, Pre-Sales, Project Management, and delivery/engineering teams.
• Address complex issues and provide support to team members with deployment challenges.
• Partner with junior engineers to implement secure network solutions.
• Perform network maintenance MOPs both onsite and remotely, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Oversee the implementation process from design through to customer acceptance.
• Extensive experience with complex multi-protocol routing and switching solutions.
• Proficiency in hardening device access and implementing security parameters.
• Expertise in core routing and switching design, configuration, and troubleshooting following Cisco best practices.
• Strong background in network design and IP addressing.
• Knowledge of OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP, including protocol redistribution and loop prevention techniques.
• Familiarity with the TCP/IP stack, headers, packets, OSI model, and commonly used TCP/UDP ports and services.
• Experience in data center fabric design, deployment, and operations, including VXLAN/EVPN.
• Proficient in using Cisco Nexus Dashboard.
• Experience with cloud networking solutions such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proven track record in deploying at least one SD-WAN solution, including Viptela, Silverpeak, or Palo Prisma SD-WAN.
• Experience in implementing security solutions such as Panorama, Prisma Access, Prisma Cloud, Cisco FTD, and firewalls.
• Skilled in configuration, tuning, and troubleshooting of Meraki MX and FMC Management.
• Familiarity with the Palo Alto Networks and Cisco Security product portfolios.
• Advanced knowledge in enterprise network architecture and troubleshooting routing/switching.
• F5 load balancing experience is an advantage.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, including military experience.
• Over 6 years of relevant project implementation experience.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Preferred certifications include CCNP Security and CCNP Routing/Switching.
