This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• You will lead and cultivate a team of 4 to 6 software engineers, taking charge of hiring, performance management, growth discussions, and fostering team culture.
• You will establish team objectives, monitor progress towards roadmap commitments, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software.
• You will collaborate with product and design teams to prioritize engineering tasks in alignment with business goals.
• You will offer technical guidance, architectural oversight, and mentorship to engineers throughout the team.
• You will spearhead system design initiatives that emphasize scalable, secure, and cloud-native software solutions.
• You will manage incident response, oversee on-call rotations, and conduct root cause analysis for production-related issues.
• You will advocate for engineering practices that enhance continuous integration, automated testing, and efficient deployment.
• You will handle resource allocation, project tracking, and status reporting for engineering projects.
• Utilize AI tools strategically to enhance productivity, accelerate workflows, and create more time for critical tasks.
• Seek opportunities to refine our processes and introduce innovative ideas to the team.
• Exercise sound judgment when managing sensitive or regulated information, adhering to our data governance standards.
• Communicate effective practices — new tools, workflows, and productivity improvements — to strengthen the entire team.
• 7+ years of experience in software development, including at least 2 years in a leadership role for engineering teams.
• A demonstrated history of managing engineers and ensuring on-time technical delivery.
• Advanced expertise in one or more modern programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Go, C#).
• Experience in building and managing production-grade systems at scale.
• Strong comprehension of system architecture, scalable design, and cloud-native development principles.
• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing techniques.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and judgment when working with product, design, and business stakeholders.
