This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Lead and supervise a team of fullstack/AI engineers, offering mentorship, performance evaluations, and fostering career advancement for the team.
• Manage the technical design, development, and deployment of fullstack web applications powered by AI technology.
• Collaborate with product, design, and QA teams to ensure the smooth execution and delivery of cross-functional projects.
• Drive architectural decisions for scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-based AI platforms that align with business goals.
• Cultivate an innovative atmosphere for exploring cutting-edge AI techniques.
• Spearhead technical decision-making to ensure alignment with product and company objectives.
• Encourage continuous learning and enhance the team's expertise in emerging AI technologies.
• Over 7 years of experience in software development, including more than 2 years in managing engineering teams.
• Strong technical leadership in building and operating production AI systems on a large scale.
• Proven expertise in AI/ML domains such as NLP, computer vision, and recommendation systems.
• Solid technical background in web development, ideally within a full-stack environment, with proficiency in React, Python, and Node.js.
• Experience with cloud architecture, DevOps, and data/ML pipelines and infrastructure.
• Exceptional people management abilities to motivate, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication skills to simplify technical AI/ML concepts for cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams in an agile, fast-paced environment, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
• A proven track record of delivering complex projects with a focus on scalability, reliability, and security.
