Software Engineer – Level III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Participating in discussions and decision-making processes regarding new features and the evolution of the platform.

• Working alongside the product team to create solutions for stakeholder features.

• Managing the complete lifecycle of deployable features: including coding, configuration, documentation, and support.

• Contributing to roadmaps and developing processes to deliver features and enhance our architecture.

• Collaborating with the QA and Platform Engineering teams to test code and ensure our integrated testing environments remain functional.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in server-side development projects, showcasing significant contributions to team efforts.

• Proficiency in one or more server-side object-oriented programming languages.

• Ability to engage in basic discussions about streaming data, distributed system design, and the relative advantages of various messaging technologies and patterns.

• Passion for testing and a commitment to test-driven development.

• Capable of quickly adapting to and becoming familiar with an existing codebase and toolkit.

• Skilled in proposing and discussing solutions in informal technical leadership meetings.

• Experience with streaming or asynchronous data processing.

• Familiarity with major cloud service providers, such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.

• Understanding of web service standards and related technologies, such as HTTP, JSON, and REST.

• Operational knowledge of Java, Kotlin, Scala, or other JVM languages.

• Experience with at least one well-known distributed system (e.g., Kafka, Spark, Storm, Cassandra, etc.).
