This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +5 more states.
• Develop and uphold various compliance program workflows, integrate with carriers/ecosystems, and manage customer engagements within the Compliance domain.
• Create and implement sophisticated and scalable solutions across diverse compliance program types, including frontend user interface experiences and backend APIs, ensuring high availability and responsiveness. You will navigate through uncertainties, deliver promptly, and maintain high standards.
• Work towards realizing the vision of next-generation architecture that facilitates the growth of Compliance programs.
• Collaborate across engineering teams at Twilio to synchronize and construct the product and architectural vision.
• Over 5 years of experience with a robust foundational knowledge of software development utilizing JVM languages.
• Proven experience in developing web services that incorporate best practices for integrating external systems, including defensive strategies to prevent downstream issues.
• Experience with highly scalable APIs, high-volume data pipelines, and extensive distributed systems.
• Skilled in maintaining and operating cloud services.
• A commitment to excellence, avoiding the mindset of “good enough” and focusing on durability through well-tested code and continuous enhancement.
• A demonstrated dedication to embracing diverse perspectives and intentionally fostering an inclusive team atmosphere.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of documenting and presenting designs and decisions throughout the development process, collaborating effectively with both engineering and non-engineering teams.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in developing and maintaining high-traffic services (preferred).
• Familiarity with DynamoDB, SQS, and data integration services like AWS Glue (preferred).
• Knowledge of LLMs and prompt optimizations to enhance model accuracy, as well as setting up evaluation pipelines (preferred).
• Experience with Kubernetes, Temporal, or similar workflow orchestration tools (preferred).
• Background in working with frontend libraries such as React or similar technologies (preferred).
