Software Engineer, JAVA – Level III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

• Engage in defining, scoping, and estimating resulting user stories.

• Work closely with colleagues to help the team reach its objectives.

• Uphold a high standard for code quality, testing, and automation while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

• Lead design and code evaluations, ensuring the team delivers high-quality, scalable, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code.

• Embrace a DevOps mindset, advocating for cloud-oriented solutions while implementing and supporting monitoring, alerting, CI/CD pipelines, and the team's cloud infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience delivering quality software, ideally across the full stack in JAVA. Overall Engineer Level III.

• Exceptional proficiency in an Object-Oriented programming language, such as Java.

• Skilled with the Java programming language and the Java Spring Boot Framework.

• Experience with messaging technologies and patterns (e.g., Kafka/SQS).

• Proficient in Docker, Kubernetes, and Git.

• Experience with AWS services (e.g., RDS, ECS, EKS, DynamoDB).

• Test automation experience across all levels (Unit, Integration, Regression, Load).

• Capable of building highly responsive and scalable web applications using React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and CSS, improving the back-end experience.

• Familiarity with modern infrastructure tools and pipelines (e.g., Gitlab CI/CD, Terraform).

• Experienced with RESTful architecture and microservices.

• Background in system design, architecture, scaling, and performance testing, with service building experience being a plus.

• Proficient with databases such as PostgreSQL and SQL.

• Experience with cache-based low latency system design.

• Familiar with CI/CD and testing tools.

• Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals.

• Knowledge of operational tools, logging, and metrics (e.g., New Relic, Splunk).
