This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and develop high-quality, maintainable software modules for the Cotiviti, Inc. product suite.
• Perform unit and integration testing utilizing appropriate methodologies and techniques.
• Evaluate requirements and specifications to generate comprehensive designs for implementation.
• Investigate and resolve software-related issues originating from both internal and external customers.
• Consistently enhance professional knowledge of new technologies as they are selected and integrated into the Cotiviti, Inc. product suite.
• Manage change control processes.
• Enter, transcribe, record, store, and maintain information in both written and electronic formats.
• Review the software engineering approach to proposed solutions to ensure compliance with best practices.
• Guide team members in effective software engineering methods and techniques.
• Fulfill all responsibilities outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting.
• Complete all special projects and additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in optimizing and tuning SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
• 2-3 years of experience with programming languages such as Java or Python.
• 2-3 years of experience with third-party platforms including Appian and Cloudera Hadoop.
• 2-3 years of experience with databases like Microsoft SQL Server, HBASE, and Hive.
• Strong understanding and application of SAFe agile practices is preferred.
• Proficiency in working with large datasets.
• Over 3 years of experience with enterprise and application design patterns applicable to the Java platform.
• More than 3 years of experience with JDK technologies, including the ability to write, test, and maintain business rules using platforms such as DRL for Drools.
• Familiarity with rules versioning and the use of rules development patterns like decision tables.
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of optimization in rules execution for efficiency and scalability.
• Integration skills with experience in combining business rules with databases such as MongoDB and Oracle.
• Over 3 years of experience writing unit test cases for rules and their outcomes using tools like JUnit.
• At least 1 year of experience with Spring Boot and the Spring Framework (Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security, etc.).
