Software Engineer IV – Full Stack

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Developing and enhancing features in a JavaScript frontend application, which is the main focus of this position.

• Contributing to Java backend services that support the frontend and connect with related systems, including Salesforce.

• Engaging in code reviews and offering specific, constructive feedback to uphold quality and foster a shared understanding within the team.

• Collaborating with engineers, product managers, and government stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure continuous progress.

• Participating in agile ceremonies such as standups, planning, and retrospectives, while actively contributing to team-level problem-solving.

• Effectively managing your own time and priorities within a distributed team, while proactively identifying blockers to keep the team moving forward.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional software engineering experience.

• Extensive JavaScript experience in a professional environment, with proven skills in React development.

• Experience in creating accessible frontends, supported by an understanding of accessibility standards.

• Java experience in building or maintaining backend services in a production setting.

• Ability to work comfortably across the entire stack, including frontend, backend, and integration points between systems.

• Experience in navigating complex or legacy environments with existing codebases and infrastructure you did not create.

• A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) is contractually required for this position.

• Comfort in operating amid ambiguity, making sound decisions, and maintaining momentum when requirements are still evolving.

• Strong time management skills and the capability to self-direct within a distributed, asynchronous team.

• Clear and direct communication: proactively identifies blockers, asks insightful questions, and contributes to team alignment.
