This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Develop, customize, and sustain healthcare applications on the InterSystems TrakCare platform utilizing Caché/MUMPS and Caché ObjectScript.
• Design Caché classes that encapsulate business logic, data access layers, and reusable components to enhance modularity and maintainability.
• Configure, integrate, and troubleshoot interfaces using the Ensemble integration engine to guarantee reliable data exchange between clinical and administrative systems.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs, including those for payment gateways and third-party healthcare and insurance systems.
• Create and optimize SQL-based data extraction, reporting, and reconciliation scripts to support operational and Management Information System (MIS) reporting.
• Automate recurring reports and scheduled tasks using Caché ObjectScript and the MUMPS Task Manager (e.g., scheduled emails and MIS deliveries).
• Enhance SQL and Caché/MUMPS queries and stored procedures to boost data retrieval speed and overall system performance.
• Conduct code reviews and debugging to ensure compliance with coding standards, maintainability, and performance best practices.
• Investigate and resolve integration challenges, data-mapping inconsistencies, and interface malfunctions to enhance data integrity and minimize downtime.
• Assist in go-live, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and post-implementation stabilization across various hospital units, including configuration testing and technical guidance for end-users.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective software solutions.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare IT or health information systems development and support.
• Practical expertise with InterSystems Caché, Caché ObjectScript, and MUMPS development.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and supporting the InterSystems TrakCare Health Information System (HIS) platform.
• Strong SQL proficiency for data extraction, reporting, tuning, and validation.
• Familiarity with the Ensemble integration engine for interface configuration and data exchange.
• Experience in designing and integrating RESTful APIs (e.g., payment gateways and third-party healthcare/insurance APIs).
• Experience in automating reports and scheduled tasks using Caché ObjectScript and the MUMPS Task Manager.
• Basic knowledge of Core Java.
• Experience with code reviews, debugging, and resolving software defects throughout release cycles.
• Understanding of hospital functional areas such as Billing, Registration, EMR, Laboratory, and reporting/MIS.
• Experience in supporting deployments, go-lives, and post-implementation support across multiple hospital units.
