Software Engineer, Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assume accountability for the reliability, security, scalability, and performance of Anrok.

• Influence technical strategies regarding our infrastructure.

• Detect and resolve bugs as well as address technical debt.

• Work collaboratively with fellow engineers and management to develop impactful solutions.

• Example project areas include:

• Enhance system observability and provide tools that empower product engineers to manage application observability.

• Scale our database layer through methods such as sharding, replication, and separating services when appropriate.

• Refactor existing systems to accommodate current and future requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• You possess a robust technical background, with over 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• You have more than 5 years of experience managing cloud-deployed software at scale utilizing configuration-as-code.

• Experience with managing relational databases at scale is advantageous, though not mandatory.

• You maintain a security-oriented mindset and carefully consider edge cases.

• You thoroughly analyze problems to ensure we are creating the right solutions for the right issues at the right time, and you will provide pushback when necessary.

• Your designs consider both current and future needs, technical debt, and maintenance, and you can clearly communicate the trade-offs involved.

• You elevate those around you by sharing your expertise and experiences.
