Software Engineer in Test Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with an existing SDET to advance testing initiatives aimed at a near-term launch.

• Develop and sustain automated test coverage utilizing Playwright and TypeScript.

• Assist in performance and regression testing using JMeter.

• Serve as a Quality Champion by defining test scope and effectively communicating associated risks.

• Work alongside engineering and product teams in an Agile setting (Azure DevOps).

• Acquire a thorough understanding of the application, data, and domain.

• Operate independently within a lean QA framework (2 SDETs, no QA management layer).

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with Playwright and TypeScript.

• Familiarity with test automation frameworks.

• Experience in Agile delivery using Azure DevOps.

• Background in secure or regulated environments.

• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and deliver results in fast-paced settings.

• Strong sense of ownership and a self-starter attitude.

• Ability to clearly and effectively communicate risks and trade-offs.

• Consulting mindset: influence decisions while aligning with client priorities.

• Strong analytical thinking with a desire to understand the underlying reasons behind systems.

• Experience with JMeter or other performance testing tools.

• Background in aerospace, manufacturing, or defense sectors.

• Knowledge of CUI / ITAR compliance environments.

• Experience in establishing QA practices in low-maturity QA settings.

• Exposure to AI-driven testing methodologies.
