Software Engineer II, Technical Search Visibility

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement comprehensive SEO and AEO features from start to finish with minimal supervision, encompassing development, experimentation, and deployment.

• Create, develop, and launch high-quality full-stack features aimed at improving search engine visibility, AI answer engine efficiency, and organic traffic while demonstrating a strong sense of urgency and ownership.

• Utilize technical best practices to produce efficient, observable, and cost-effective code that enhances traditional search rankings, LLM visibility, and overall user experience.

• Assist in the creation of data pipelines for SEO and AEO data ingestion, transformation, and delivery, employing straightforward, reusable abstractions to maintain system health as it scales.

• Work collaboratively with product managers, designers, and marketing teams to convert user requirements into technical specifications, highlight trade-offs, and achieve collective objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in software engineering with expertise in React, Ruby, Python, PostgreSQL, and SQL.

• Proven track record of building and launching complete features from inception to deployment with minimal guidance, including development, testing, and production release.

• Familiarity with distributed systems and data engineering — designing pipelines, optimizing schemas, and ensuring data integrity — with experience in Airflow or DBT preferred.

• Capability to write efficient code and enhance system observability through logging and metrics, while identifying and addressing bottlenecks as they occur.

• Strong product-oriented mindset with the ability to interpret user needs into technical specifications and comprehend how your contributions affect business metrics.

• Excellent communicator capable of collaborating with marketing, product, and engineering teams to align on requirements and provide effective solutions.
