Software Engineer II – Front End/Back End

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• As a Software Engineer II - Front End/Back End, you will function as an individual contributor within a team. With the support and direction of leadership, you will focus on achieving scope, schedule, and delivery objectives.

• You will start to cultivate an awareness and comprehension of the engineering role within the program and engage with stakeholders.

• You will estimate and execute development tasks, including coding, requirements gathering, and analysis, with moderate guidance and feedback from your team.

• You will debug, optimize, maintain, and monitor your work across both testing and production environments.

• You will create tests, monitoring/instrumentation, analytics, and deployment pipeline modifications as necessary for assigned tasks.

• You will participate in on-call rotations with your team as required.

• You will develop your technical and communication skills while gaining context around related areas.

• You will engage in planning sessions to enhance your understanding of key architectures and design patterns.

• You will actively contribute to design discussions, asking questions to grasp technical trade-offs, interactions, and dependencies within the system.

• You will hone influential skills to facilitate tactical decision-making and assist with onboarding new developers.

• You will demonstrate an understanding of other roles and practices, including how they are designed to collaborate effectively.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of engineering experience are required.

• Must be a US Citizen.

• Must have resided in the United States for three or more years out of the last five years.

• A background investigation will be required to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance.

• Experience is required in the following tech stacks: JAVA, Microsoft VB.NET (MS Framework 4.0), C, C# (MS Framework 4.0), C++, Crystal Reports, Oracle, MS-SQL, Tomcat 8.

• Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment is preferred.
