Software Engineer II

📋 Description

• Developing efficient and scalable software solutions.

• Collaborating with a team of expert developers to oversee the upgrade and deployment of a product line of edge applications.

• Implementing strategic features, enhancements requested by customers, and addressing defects for Akamai's Cloudlets product line.

• Contributing to architecture, design documentation, code reviews, testing strategies, and release/deployment planning.

• Designing and creating highly scalable and efficient software from initial concept through to deployment, while enhancing the performance of existing platforms.

• Promoting a culture of continuous improvement in our processes and strategies, including the adoption of advanced tools to boost team productivity.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field/experience.

• Experience in developing web services and user interfaces using technologies such as Java, Angular, SQL Databases, and Docker.

• Willingness to work with a diverse and established technology stack.

• Interest in web technologies, networks, and the fundamentals of the internet, including underlying communication protocols.

• Comfortable with modernizing and working alongside foundational and long-standing services.

• Passionate about automation to streamline development processes and minimize manual effort, particularly in maintaining and evolving critical systems.
