This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Design and maintain scalable, reliable cloud infrastructure on the BrainOS Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Collaborate with the Applied ML team and R&D team to create and implement efficient cloud services, ensuring high data quality and integrity.
• Develop APIs and services that enable seamless integration between the sense cloud platform and various web and robotic applications.
• Work closely with web and application teams to comprehend their requirements and offer technical guidance and support.
• Engage in testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and system testing, to validate the reliability, performance, and quality of the cloud platform.
• Monitor and enhance the cost, performance, and reliability of the sense cloud platform, identifying and addressing any issues or bottlenecks.
• Keep abreast of the latest advancements in cloud technologies, sharing knowledge and best practices with the team.
• Assist with other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of proven experience in software development.
• Experience in cloud engineering, particularly with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proficient in programming languages such as Go, Python, and TypeScript, with a clear ability to write clean, maintainable code and utilize version control systems like git.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and associated technologies (compute, storage, networking, etc.) on GCP.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Pulumi or similar technologies.
• Knowledge of designing and implementing scalable data engineering workflows and data pipelines.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration frameworks such as Kubernetes.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs, with the capability to design and develop them.
• Experience utilizing GenAI tools and coding assistants to accelerate development, improve code quality, and automate routine engineering tasks.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, coupled with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively within a team environment.
