This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Develop and sustain a cohesive codebase utilizing React, TypeScript, and Next.js that acts as the primary management interface for user access, system administration, and auditing, deployed in both cloud environments and on-premise hardware solutions.
• Design and create RESTful APIs to provide access to device operations, telemetry, and configurations through the web console.
• Collaborate with distributed backend microservices to display real-time hardware telemetry, job scheduling, and system status within the user interface.
• Create client-side data visualizations to represent device states, telemetry streams, and overall system health.
• Develop flows for configuration and credential management, including interfaces for generating, rotating, and auditing device keys and access credentials.
• Create network configuration interfaces that enhance and replace existing CLI workflows, providing operators with a browser-based alternative to restricted shell access.
• Enforce Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) throughout the API and UI layers to regulate permissions and view-level security.
• Oversee runtime configuration to ensure the application connects to the appropriate service endpoints across both cloud and on-premise deployments.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for deploying the console alongside hardware releases, including containerized builds for on-premise appliances.
• Collaborate with backend, UI/UX, and Product teams to translate operator workflows into dependable and thoroughly tested features.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional software engineering experience in developing full-stack web applications.
• Frontend expertise with React and TypeScript, particularly in creating interfaces for technical or operator-facing users.
• Backend proficiency in Python, including experience in building REST APIs using FastAPI, Flask, Django REST Framework, or similar frameworks.
• Experience in contributing to web management consoles, covering everything from REST API endpoints to UI implementation, as well as key and credential management.
• Understanding of real-time data flows (WebSockets, SSE, or streaming telemetry endpoints) on either the client or server side.
• Working knowledge of web security principles (OWASP Top 10, XSS/CSRF mitigation) and experience with authenticated sessions utilizing OAuth2/OIDC.
• Experience with the implementation of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) in either the UI, the API, or both.
• Proficiency in modern CSS layout techniques (Grid, Flexbox) and in executing UI/UX designs.
