This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Create and sustain dependable data pipelines utilizing Airbyte, Snowflake, and dbt.
• Craft and refine scalable data models for analytics, reporting, search, and AI-driven applications.
• Develop and manage dbt models, testing frameworks, documentation, and deployment workflows.
• Ensure high standards of data quality, reliability, governance, and operational excellence throughout the data platform.
• Construct and improve AI-driven applications that retrieve, interpret, and summarize business data.
• Design retrieval methods, context management strategies, prompt-engineering techniques, and tool-calling procedures.
• Create agent-based workflows for multi-step business processes.
• Build APIs, services, and integrations that connect AI applications with internal platforms and business systems.
• Monitor the health of systems, application performance, data quality, AI usage, and operational expenditures.
• Diagnose issues in data pipelines, warehouse transformations, software services, and AI workflows.
• Implement best practices for security, access control, testing, logging, and governance.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to convert requirements into scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools while upholding standards for code quality, testing, and documentation.
• Proven experience in software engineering, data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong proficiency in SQL.
• Expertise in at least one programming language, with a preference for Python.
• Experience in building and maintaining cloud-based data warehouses and production data pipelines.
• Practical experience with Snowflake and dbt.
• Familiarity with data integration or ingestion tools like Airbyte.
• Experience in developing applications utilizing LLMs, RAG, tool calling, or agent-based workflows.
• Knowledge of AI-assisted software development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Codex, or similar platforms.
• Understanding of APIs, source control, automated testing, CI/CD, and contemporary software engineering practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for troubleshooting interconnected systems.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Preferred: experience with Snowflake Cortex or other enterprise AI/LLM platforms.
• Preferred: background in designing semantic layers, metadata systems, or governed retrieval architectures.
• Preferred: knowledge of LLM evaluation frameworks, observability tools, token-cost optimization, and response quality monitoring.
• Preferred: experience in implementing role-based access controls, data governance standards, and data privacy protections.
• Preferred: experience in supporting internal applications from prototypes to enterprise-scale production implementation.
