Software Engineer, Crop

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and develop the claims platform.

• Create and sustain full-stack functionalities for our claims processing system utilizing Node.js, TypeScript, Vue.js, HTML, and CSS — encompassing all aspects from back-end business logic and API architecture to the front-end user interfaces utilized by the claims teams on a daily basis.

• Convert regulatory requirements into executable code.

• Analyze and interpret government publications, FCIC/RMA handbooks, Loss Adjustment Manuals, and documentation from third-party sources.

• Investigate and rectify PASS and NCIS errors.

• Engage and collaborate with stakeholders.

• Conduct testing, reviews, and ensure security.

• Willingness to travel periodically.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of professional software engineering experience in a production setting.

• Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript for back-end development.

• Solid expertise in Vue.js, HTML, and CSS for front-end development.

• Proven experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs and working across the entire stack.

• Capable of writing unit and integration tests and actively participating in code review processes.

• Familiarity with common security vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10) and strategies for mitigating them within application code.

• Ability to navigate extensive technical and regulatory documentation and accurately translate it into code.

• Over 3 years in a claims, compliance, underwriting, or product/IT position at an Approved Insurance Provider (AIP), reinsurer, or similar RMA-related organization.

• Experience working directly with RMA or NCIS data submission systems.

• Demonstrated experience in investigating and resolving PASS errors and NCIS discrepancies in a production environment.
