Software Engineer – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop comprehensive full-stack features utilizing Angular for front-end applications and Java/Spring Boot microservices.

• Create and deploy services within containerized environments such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Design and integrate RESTful APIs to facilitate secure communication between systems.

• Implement asynchronous messaging patterns using Kafka for distributed systems.

• Design and manage data models and persistence layers utilizing Postgres or MySQL.

• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to convert mission requirements into technical solutions.

• Contribute to the creation of technical design documentation and system architecture artifacts.

• Engage in code reviews, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.

• Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.

• Improve system performance, scalability, and reliability as the platform matures.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience.

• Extensive experience with Java and Spring Boot for creating production-ready services.

• Proven experience in developing microservices within containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Familiarity with asynchronous messaging systems such as Kafka.

• Proficient in using build tools like Gradle or Maven.

• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks, preferably Angular.

• Skilled in designing and consuming RESTful APIs.

• Experience with relational databases such as Postgres or MySQL.

• Capability to produce technical design documentation, including diagrams and system designs.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and quick adaptability to new technologies.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Proven track record of ownership and the ability to drive projects to completion.
