Software Engineer – Backend, Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Define, design, and implement ongoing enhancements for the SaaS platform, data storage, and ETL pipelines focusing on security, quality, testing, automation, and new functionalities.

• Ensure the platform, data architecture, and related internal tools maintain high availability, scalability, and performance.

• Assist both internal team members and external stakeholders in comprehending and fully utilizing the platform's data and tools.

• Actively participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and task prioritization; provide estimates for technical efforts and help set realistic project timelines.

• Monitor and report on development progress proactively, identifying and addressing potential delays or technical challenges early on.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional experience in software engineering, particularly in backend development and ETL pipelines for web applications.

• Demonstrated experience in collecting, cleaning, structuring, and analyzing large, intricate data sets.

• High level of proficiency in Python, Pandas, and SQL.

• Must be based and working within Europe, with the ability to align with necessary operational time zones.

• Strong deductive reasoning and problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record of understanding hierarchical data relationships and recognizing logic gaps.

• Independent self-starter mindset capable of managing multiple priorities across varying timelines.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• Preferred proficiency in at least one major business intelligence tool (e.g., Google DataStudio, Power BI, Tableau).

• Preferred practical experience in major cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Strong analytical skills combined with excellent customer-facing communication abilities and meticulous attention to detail preferred.
