This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Design and implement new functionalities while improving current systems, prioritizing quality, scalability, and maintainability.
• Possess a strong understanding of software architecture and the capability to recommend structural enhancements to the system.
• Execute integrations between both internal and external services (APIs, microservices, distributed systems).
• Produce clean, testable, and efficient code, adhering to engineering best practices and team-defined standards.
• Develop and run automated and unit tests to guarantee high-quality delivery.
• Collaborate with product, QA, front-end, and data teams to ensure comprehensive delivery.
• Engage actively in code reviews, fostering collective learning and maintaining technical standards.
• Monitor and enhance application performance by identifying and addressing bottlenecks.
• Document workflows, architectures, and adopted methodologies to reinforce knowledge sharing.
• Participate in agile ceremonies (planning, refinement, retrospectives) with a proactive and solution-focused approach.
• Provide mentorship to junior developers.
• Extensive experience in back-end development using Java.
• Proficient with both relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, MongoDB).
• Experience handling large data volumes and complex queries.
• Understanding of modular service architectures and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with automated testing, version control (Git), and CI/CD processes.
• Knowledge of AI tools for code generation, including Claude Code, Codex, Copilot, Cursor, and others.
• Previous involvement with digital product teams and agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills for solving complex problems, coupled with effective communication skills for both technical and business stakeholders.
