This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Design and develop comprehensive full-stack functionalities for our AI-driven web application utilizing Python, React, Redux, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
• Integrate AI models and APIs for various tasks such as document processing, data extraction, and recommendation engines.
• Collaborate closely with Senior Engineers who specialize in AI to effectively integrate models into production environments.
• Conduct research and prototype innovative AI applications to consistently enhance our product capabilities.
• Build scalable, secure, and observable cloud architectures for our primary AI services.
• Implement resilient data pipelines to support AI model training and inference.
• Design seamless user experiences that highlight AI-powered features.
• Participate in architecture planning, code reviews, and brainstorming sessions.
• Take ownership of feature development throughout the entire process (once onboarded), coordinating with QA and other teams.
• Engage in cross-team communication to help resolve dependencies and improve the release process.
• Contribute ideas during quarterly planning to influence the direction of future developments.
• Take part in company-wide activities such as hackathons, engineering guilds, and experiments with AI tools.
• Proficient full-stack development skills with the capability to work across both backend and frontend using Python, React, Redux, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
• Practical experience in integrating and deploying AI/ML technologies into production settings.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and their application to deliver value to customers.
• Ability to design modular, testable, and scalable backend architectures.
• Comfortable with quickly learning new frameworks, libraries, and tools.
• Expertise in building observability and monitoring systems for cloud-native applications.
• Intellectual curiosity to continually learn and enhance skills in emerging AI technologies.
• Proven history of proactive communication, with the ability to tailor technical explanations for various audiences.
• Self-motivated with a career-focused mindset who excels in an environment that values autonomy and accountability.
• Team-oriented with a low-ego approach, open to feedback and eager to assist others.
• Detail-oriented problem solver, particularly in complex situations.
