Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software functionalities utilizing contemporary engineering methodologies.

• Produce clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code that adheres to quality, performance, and security benchmarks.

• Engage in code reviews, offering constructive feedback while continuously enhancing your own skills.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues across development, testing, and production settings.

• Contribute to the enhancement of application performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

• Collaborate closely with Product, Quality Assurance, and Engineering colleagues to comprehend requirements and deliver value to customers.

• Take part in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

• Estimate tasks, communicate progress, and proactively identify risks and dependencies.

• Assist with software releases and resolve production issues as required.

• Continuously enhance your technical expertise and keep abreast of current engineering practices and technologies.

• Contribute to the advancement of engineering standards, documentation, tooling, and development processes.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools responsibly to boost productivity while upholding high standards for code quality, security, and maintainability.

• Share knowledge, engage in open collaboration, and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

• Take ownership of assigned tasks from design to delivery, ensuring exceptional quality, documentation, and maintainability.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional experience in software development.

• Strong background in developing applications with C# and .NET.

• Experience with SQL Server and relational databases.

• Proficient in building and consuming RESTful APIs.

• Experience in developing or supporting applications hosted on Microsoft Azure.

• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, software design principles, and secure coding practices.

• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development practices.

• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
