This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +12 more locations.
• Become a part of a small Agile Development team.
• Develop and implement new product features and designs using a variety of programming languages and technologies.
• Address bug fixes, create customer-centric features, and enhance existing products.
• Provide support for complex technical systems and assist in the design, building, testing, and deployment of products.
• Generate accurate effort estimates for both large and small-scale tasks.
• Collaborate with the Client Development Manager to monitor development progress and timelines.
• Write and maintain automated unit, integration, and regression tests.
• Increase automated test coverage in both existing and legacy product areas.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, build automation, and promote shift-left quality practices.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools for implementation, code comprehension, and code reviews, while sharing best practices with the team.
• Work alongside the R&D team on development methodologies, processes, and tools.
• Partner with QA to advocate for best practices and uphold high quality standards.
• Oversee code reviews and provide constructive feedback on designs and code.
• Identify and mitigate issues and risks that may impact project timelines.
• Initially report to the Vice President of Research & Development, with later assignment to an R&D Manager or Team Lead.
• Support existing product lines while also building future products.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
• Over 2 years of experience with some or all of the following technologies: Front End technologies (Angular, React, various JavaScript libraries, JSP); Core Technologies (Java, Python, Procedural SQL, SOA & MVC Architecture, Micro Focus COBOL).
• Demonstrated experience with Oracle and PL/SQL or MS SQL Server and Transact-SQL.
• Experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP).
• Practical experience in writing automated tests using frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, Jasmine/Karma, Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
• Comfortable working with AI coding assistants (such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar) and possessing sound judgment in verifying and reviewing their outputs.
• Capability to design and develop well-structured, custom application software adhering to principles such as object-oriented design and service-oriented architecture.
• Strong work ethic, high initiative, aptitude, and energy.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
• A mindset and eagerness to embrace learning, able to work well in a team or independently.
• Candidates must possess a current, valid passport and be legally eligible for international travel.
• Passport-based visa exemption or possession of necessary travel visas for entry into Canada, the United States, and the Caribbean.
