This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Design, develop, modify, and improve applications utilizing SYNON/COOL 2E, COBOL400, CL/400, CLLE, and DB2/400
• Create and support RxCLAIM/pharmacy claims adjudication functionalities and associated business processes
• Analyze and refine intricate claim processing logic, business rules, and system workflows
• Develop and sustain integrations with downstream healthcare and PBM systems
• Execute significant enhancements and modifications to current healthcare applications
• Maintain, modernize, and enhance existing AS/400 applications while crafting new solutions
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve sophisticated production and application issues
• Investigate system defects, determine root causes, and implement technical resolutions
• Convert business requirements into technical designs and application alterations
• Document system flows, application functionalities, interfaces, and business logic
• Conduct impact analysis for application modifications and safeguard downstream processes
• Perform unit and integration testing, and support system/user acceptance testing
• Collaborate with business analysts, technical teams, QA teams, and healthcare/PBM stakeholders
• Deliver high-quality, reliable code with minimal oversight
• Take ownership of assigned development tasks and meet project milestones and deadlines
• Provide technical guidance and assume leadership roles when necessary
• Over 5 years of practical experience with SYNON / COOL 2E, COBOL400, CL/400 and CLLE, and DB2/400
• Extensive hands-on experience with RxCLAIM
• Willingness and ability to undertake technical leadership responsibilities when necessary
• Experience with pharmacy claims adjudication and claims processing systems
• Strong understanding of Healthcare / Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) processes and applications
• Background in analyzing and modifying complex claims processing logic and business rules
• Experience in supporting integrations between RxCLAIM/AS400 applications and downstream healthcare systems
• Proficient in production support, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis
• Capability to comprehend complex legacy applications and enhance them with minimal guidance
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while effectively collaborating with distributed teams
• Experience in supporting large-scale healthcare or PBM platforms
• Proven experience in making significant enhancements to existing AS/400 healthcare applications
• Strong grasp of legacy application architecture and modernization considerations
• Experience documenting complex system flows and business logic
• Familiarity with Agile or structured working environments
• Ability to participate in internal and external meetings via video calls, as needed
• Willingness to work onsite at corporate or client offices, if necessary
• For roles requiring business travel and/or event attendance, a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are mandatory
