Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and implementation of major software features or projects utilizing technologies like Java and Oracle.

• Create reusable and high-quality technical components.

• Document and showcase solutions through the development of documentation, code comments, and clear, efficient code.

• Leverage strong relational database expertise in systems such as MySQL and Oracle.

• Employ AWS for service-oriented architecture (SOA) deployments with the capability to design applications.

• Implement Scrum, Agile modeling, and adaptive software development lifecycle methodologies.

• Collaborate closely with project teams, including business analysts, QA teams, and developers.

• Support fellow developers with troubleshooting, debugging, and coding tasks.

• Engage in code reviews and uphold standard practices and high-quality coding standards.

• Actively participate in Quality Assurance methodologies and solutions to meet business requirements.

• Investigate and resolve intricate technical issues and bottlenecks.

• Work with cross-functional teams to refine and prioritize software requirements, debug issues, and enhance products.

• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, providing technical guidance.

• Take part in production rota, address production issues, and manage ad-hoc Service Requests.

• Contribute to the enhancement of development processes and software architecture.

• Commit to continuous learning and adaptation to modern technologies and development practices.

• 5+ years of software development experience using Java.

• Proficiency in various programming languages (Java, PL/SQL, Unix Shell Scripts).

• Comprehensive understanding of software architecture and design principles.

• Strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities.

• Effective leadership and communication abilities.

• Experience in a Full stack environment.

• Excellent communication and technical influencing skills.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field (preferred).

• Familiarity with Agile principles and practices (preferred).
