Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Oversee and implement the technical tasks necessary for the design, development, integration, testing, and deployment of applications and cloud computing resources to align with the USCG TDL Owner's timelines and objectives.

• Create and sustain Application Program Interfaces (APIs) essential for USCG information systems to retrieve data from CG-OWL.

• Tailor CG-OWL User Interfaces specifically for USCG applications.

• Collect feedback from CG-OWL users, evaluate its validity, and present findings to the Effort Point of Contact (POC) to collaboratively enhance and prioritize features in the Product Roadmap / Backlog.

• Perform Operational and User Acceptance Testing.

• Track and report CG-OWL performance metrics to the USCG as outlined in the USCG Modernized Learning Management System CONOPS to ensure adherence to standards.

• Provide monthly reports to the USCG detailing performance metrics, including any planned or unplanned downtimes, along with a summary of actions taken to resolve issues and future preventive measures.

• Resolve all defects identified in the MLMS system or notify third parties of any defects discovered.

• Maintain up-to-date process guides for System Administrators in line with the latest processes or software releases.

• Offer Tiered 3 Support for CG-OWL from Monday to Friday, 0900-1700 ET, excluding Federal Holidays.

• Utilize the primary USCG ticketing system, currently CGFixIT (BMC Remedy), to accurately document and address all incidents, problems, service requests, and maintenance in accordance with applicable USCG process guides, policies, and procedures.

• Bachelor's degree.

• Hold IAT Level II certification.

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
