Software Engineer – Android

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Peru.

📋 Description

• Engage in software development alongside clients, working in tandem with the Livefront team.

• Estimate, create, test, and deploy high-quality Android applications.

• Produce clean, maintainable, secure, and efficient code using Kotlin.

• Utilize Android Studio for debugging, profiling, and enhancing application performance.

• Develop unit and UI tests.

• Incorporate accessible features to comply with WCAG guidelines.

• Identify and fix bugs and performance issues.

• Contribute to the creation of reusable internal resources, such as documentation and libraries.

• Support CI/CD pipelines for Android applications.

• Take part in code reviews to uphold engineering standards.

• Collaborate with UI/UX designers on user interface design.

• Engage in community events and contribute to the wider engineering community.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a consulting environment or as part of an in-house, cross-functional product team.

• Proven experience in developing consumer-facing native applications for Android, with proficiency in the platform’s native languages (Kotlin) and core frameworks (Android SDK and Jetpack), as well as relevant tools.

• Portfolio of work demonstrating performant, well-organized code alongside clean, well-executed user interfaces.

• Strong understanding of modern software development best practices, tools, and workflows.

• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to persuasively present and defend technical and architectural decisions.

• Above-average self-discipline and organizational skills.

• Comfort with critique and peer review within an iterative software development environment.
