Software Engineer, AI Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and sustain backend systems, APIs, and automation workflows that drive AI-based applications

• Create custom integrations and connectors linking internal services with external APIs

• Develop and manage enterprise knowledge systems, such as similarity searches, vector databases, and retrieval pipelines

• Enhance the reliability, performance, and scalability of automation and workflow systems

• Implement observability, logging, alerting, and business metrics

• Contribute to platform tooling using comprehensive code solutions and workflow automation platforms like n8n

• Produce clean, testable, production-ready code accompanied by documentation and operational guides

• Articulate technical concepts to both engineering and non-engineering audiences

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 2 years of professional software engineering experience

• Expertise in one or more of the following: Python, TypeScript, or C#

• Background in designing, building, and managing production-grade services, integrations, or automation systems

• Strong understanding of RAG, agents, and LLM tools

• Practical experience with vector databases, similarity search, and retrieval optimization

• Familiarity with APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture

• Emphasis on testing, observability, and backend performance

• Knowledge of low-code/no-code automation tools like n8n, or a willingness to learn

• Capability to thrive in a high-ownership, fast-paced environment while managing rapid iteration and maintainability

• Ability to collaborate effectively with both engineers and non-engineers

• May need to obtain a gaming license issued by the relevant state agency as a condition of employment
