Software Engineer – AI-Driven Billing Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain automated billing workflows within Salesforce, utilizing Apex, Flow, Lightning Web Components, and various platform integrations.

• Design and manage a self-learning AI-driven pipeline initiated by Salesforce, which processes diagnostic test data and navigates the order through our revenue lifecycle, incorporating human intervention, partner APIs, and external systems as necessary.

• Convert billing requirements from Finance, Revenue Operations, and Customer Success into precisely defined engineering deliverables that include clear SLAs, observability, and rollback procedures.

• Refine document extraction AI models with assistance from the Arteras AI team.

• Employ AI Code-generation and other AI-assisted development tools to expedite delivery, which includes generating, reviewing, and refactoring Salesforce and Python code.

• Equip the billing pipeline with monitoring, alerting, and audit trails to ensure that failures, anomalies, and deviations are detected promptly and addressed without the need for manual intervention whenever feasible.

• Regularly assess pipeline performance and integrate feedback loops (rules, heuristics, and lightweight machine learning when suitable) to enhance the system's accuracy and autonomy over time.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 2 years of professional software engineering experience in shipping and managing production systems.

• Hands-on experience in Salesforce development is essential, including Apex, Flow / Process Builder, Lightning Web Components, SOQL/SOSL, and Salesforce REST/SOAP APIs.

• Proven experience in developing tools using Claude Code is essential, such as creating internal automations, integration scaffolding, code generation pipelines, or developer tooling with Claude Code in actual projects.

• Strong proficiency in Python is required.

• Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and contemporary Salesforce DX tools is necessary.

• Experience designing systems for observability, including logging, metrics, alerting, and comprehensive traceability of billing transactions.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of collaborating directly with Finance, Revenue Operations, and external vendor partners.
