Software Development Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• As a Software Development Intern, you will collaborate closely with our leadership team to design, develop, and improve software solutions that tackle real-world issues.

• You will have the chance to engage in various projects, such as creating web applications, developing algorithms for data analysis, and integrating APIs with AI services.

• Play a vital role in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect requirements, propose solutions, and deliver high-quality features.

• Produce clean, efficient, and maintainable code, and participate in peer code reviews to uphold best practices.

• Assist in identifying and resolving bugs, as well as enhancing application performance.

• Develop technical documentation for the software created and contribute to user manuals as necessary.

• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and tools that can improve development processes or enhance user experiences.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or have completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Strong proficiency in Python for data processing, model training, and integration with machine learning frameworks.

• Practical experience with PyTorch and HuggingFace Transformers for constructing and fine-tuning large language models (LLMs).

• Familiarity with PEFT techniques (e.g., LoRA) and tools like DeepSpeed or Accelerate for effective model training.

• Understanding of prompt engineering, including formatting for instruct models and RLHF pipelines.

• Experience with tokenization (BPE, SentencePiece) and data management using pandas or HuggingFace datasets.

• Exposure to Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts, covering machine learning fundamentals, deep learning architectures, and generative AI applications.

• Familiarity with the AI model lifecycle, including data preprocessing, training, evaluation, and deployment.

• Comfortable working in cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure), particularly with GPU instances and Docker for deployment.

• Experience with web frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask, React).

• Familiarity with database systems (SQL and NoSQL) and version control systems (Git).

• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in fast-paced development settings.

• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a remote environment.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams.
