Software Development Engineer II – Mobile, Flutter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design and take ownership of high-performance, scalable mobile software — from the initial design phase through to long-term stability and performance.

• Create production-quality Flutter applications that are utilized by thousands of customers daily across various industries and use cases.

• Utilize LLMs and AI tools for efficient code writing, refactoring, testing, and debugging — while implementing guardrails to minimize hallucination and enhance reliability.

• Develop and maintain shared tools, frameworks, and libraries that enable other engineers to build quickly and confidently.

• Work collaboratively with designers, product managers, and platform/backend engineers to deliver full-stack features.

• Assess and enhance app performance, test coverage, code quality, and build stability using contemporary development tools.

• Remain at the forefront of AI/LLM technology, Flutter best practices, and mobile architecture patterns — and share that knowledge with the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of professional engineering experience (SDE II/III), with at least 3 years focused on Flutter/Dart.

• Proven ability to design maintainable, modular mobile systems.

• Deep understanding of Flutter internals, widget lifecycle, performance profiling, and commonly used state management strategies (e.g., Provider, Freezed, Bloc, MobX).

• Experience with Protobuf/gRPC in Dart.

• History of shipping and maintaining large-scale mobile applications in a production environment.

• Proficient in RESTful API design, mobile CI/CD processes, and Git-based workflows.

• Strong grasp of AI-driven development tools — including prompt engineering, LLM-based code generation, test writing, and automation of code reviews.

• Knowledge of strategies for mitigating hallucination (e.g., code constraints, test scaffolding, embeddings, context injection).

• Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities — particularly in distributed, asynchronous teams.

• Bonus: Contributions to AI tools, Flutter open-source libraries, or AI-enhanced mobile functionalities.
